The Woburn Sands Band

WSB17Presents the Celebratory 60thConcert in the Drakeloe Series.

Saturday 14 October & Sunday 15th October 2017

The programme features the premiere of 'Fanfare for Woburn Sands' composed especially for the concert by Alan Fernie. All four bands which make up The Woburn Sands Band will be performing and the Grand Finale will be a massed bands’ performance of 'The Lord Of The Dance'.

Write a Song & Record It in 6 Hours to Raise Money for Children’s Charities?......Is this seriously possible……..Yes if you are a school child in South Northamptonshire who has attended a Songwriting Workshop with FunRaiseSing! 

Join us for this celebration of the young people of South Northamptonshire!  See how talented, caring, imaginative & thoughtful our young people can be! The songs they have written are motivational, inspiring, thought-provoking and stirring!

Come and witness this for yourself!

They will perform their songs live on November 11th 2017, in two concerts, at the Venue MK – 3pm & 6pm.  Book your tickets now!

We have a panel of Music Industry Specialists, featuring Rachel Furner, who writes songs for Little Mix, The Vamps, Frances … to name but a few, and co-wrote last year’s heart-felt and moving Children-In-Need single “All We Needed’ with Craig David, who will be there to offer students advice, guidance and inspiration.  Our young people will gain an insight in to writing songs for Artists, signing & working with a manager, stage craft & performance, and vocal technique

The event will be recorded and included in the local BBC news broadcast for Children in Need on Friday 17th November 2017.

Shakespeare Schools Foundation is proud to present the world’s largest youth drama festival at The Venue.

Join us on 20th November for a series of unique Shakespeare productions staged by your schools.

Whether you are a parent, friend or another local school, we invite you to an exhilarating evening of theatre where you will see Shakespeare’s stories brought to life like never before.

The Wizard of Oz - The Pantomime

Dorothy survives a tornado; waking up to find herself in the Merry Old Land Of Oz, far away from her home in Kansas. To get back there, she’ll have to travel to the Emerald City and seek the help of the wonderful Wizard Of Oz himself. 

She’ll meet new friends and have adventures along the way – but watch out for a Wicked Witch who’s seeking revenge! 

L Frank Baum’s much loved children’s classic is being retold as a traditional family pantomime by the award winning* Dreams ‘n’ Wishes team. And this time, ‘the best little panto in Milton Keynes’ is moving to their new and bigger home at The Venue MK, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes.
