The Woburn Sands Band

WSB17Presents the Celebratory 60thConcert in the Drakeloe Series.

Saturday 14 October & Sunday 15th October 2017



The programme features the premiere of 'Fanfare for Woburn Sands' composed especially for the concert by Alan Fernie. All four bands which make up The Woburn Sands Band will be performing and the Grand Finale will be a massed bands’ performance of 'The Lord Of The Dance'.

Shakespeare Schools Foundation is proud to present the world’s largest youth drama festival at The Venue.

Join us on 20th November for a series of unique Shakespeare productions staged by your schools.

Whether you are a parent, friend or another local school, we invite you to an exhilarating evening of theatre where you will see Shakespeare’s stories brought to life like never before.

SSF is a cultural education charity, transforming lives through the unique power of Shakespeare. In the celebratory finale of their Festival journey, 30,000 young people from primary, secondary and special schools across the country will unite on their local professional theatre in thrilling performance evenings. Our Musical Director Craig McLeish has arranged some amazing music for this concert. He has produced an eclectic mix intermingled with seasonal songs we love to perform. We will be joined by a great local a capella group called ‘Jinx’ and The Ian Riley Trio who will be making the evening go with a ‘swing’.

The Wizard of Oz - The Pantomime

Dorothy survives a tornado; waking up to find herself in the Merry Old Land Of Oz, far away from her home in Kansas. To get back there, she’ll have to travel to the Emerald City and seek the help of the wonderful Wizard Of Oz himself. 

She’ll meet new friends and have adventures along the way – but watch out for a Wicked Witch who’s seeking revenge! 

L Frank Baum’s much loved children’s classic is being retold as a traditional family pantomime by the award winning* Dreams ‘n’ Wishes team. And this time, ‘the best little panto in Milton Keynes’ is moving to their new and bigger home at The Venue MK, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes.
