The Ensemble is the performing group of MA Dance Performance and Choreography at the University of Bedfordshire. All students join the company as part of the course. The Ensemble is an international company with dancers from China, Greece, Japan, Portugal, Spain and the UK, and undertakes national and international touring of performance works. The company aims to commission a diverse range of work from leading contemporary choreographers that exposes students and audiences to current choreographic thinking and questions. In 2019/20, commissioned choreographers are Julia Cheng, Adrian Look and Tamara Ashley.

MAPdance present a mixed bill

mapdance 2020 offers an enticingly varied set of exciting new works by renowned and upcoming international contemporary choreographers, plus the revival of Inside the Animal by Jose Agudo from the 2018 tour. The gratifying roster of new artists this year includes Gary Clark, Ceyda Tanc, Noa Shadur. The University of Chichester’s MA touring company is an established group of dynamic young dancers recruited nationally and internationally. Their diverse repertoire offers audiences a refreshing mixture of gritty dance-theatre, wry humour, and both intricate and questioning choreography.
