On the day of a princess's christening Carabosse the dark fairy curses the child with a spell; that by midnight of her 18th birthday she shall prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die!

A good fairy reduces this curse to a 100 years sleep - but only with a Prince with with love's firstr kiss can be the one to break the spell.

This prince is joined by some hapless helpers as he goes off on a magical rescue mission. But it won't be easy - Carabosse is out to stop them! Will our heroes save the day - or is the Princess sentenced to sleep for a century?

One thing you can be sure of is it's a Dream's n Wishes Panto - so expect songs - steps and silliness a-plenty!

Stand-up comedian Ed Gamble is a regular on Mock the Week (BBC2) and is becoming an increasingly familiar face on television in shows including Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and Roast Battle (Comedy Central). He is also the co-presenter or Radio X’s Sunday morning show with Matt Crosby, and co-hosts the smash-hit podcast Off Menu with James Acaster. He will also be on the new series of Task Master.

Lou Sanders is one of the most original comedians in Britain. She is the current reigning champion of the last series of Taskmaster (DAVE) and other recent television appearances include QI (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Hypothetical (DAVE), Aisling Bea’s sitcom This Way Up (C4), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky 1), Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier (DAVE)and Karl Pilkington’s sitcom Sick of It (Sky One). Make sure oyu keep your eyes open for her on TV's The Travel Man.

Besides being nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Festival, making the BBC New Talent Hotlist 2017 Jayde has appeared on our screens as a guest on Roast Battle,Live At The Comedy Store, The Chris Ramsey Show(Comedy Central), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown(Channel 4),8 Out of 10 Cats (E4), Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit (Dave) and Russell Brand’s Stand Off for Comic Relief (BBC).

Her acting credits include Russell Howard’s A Gert Lush Christmas (BBC2), A Spencer Jones Christmas (Sky Arts), and Borderline (Channel 5) alongside Kerry Howard. Jayde had a guest role in Sky One’s series Sick Note, starring Nick Frost and Rupert Grint, and she has a guest role in BBC One / Amazon’s hugely anticipated new seriesGood Omens alongside David Tennant and Michael Sheen – which will air in 2019. Jayde appeared in David Earl’s Sky Comedy Summer Short Giddy Up Gunty alongside David and Joe Wilkinson.

Throw in a short tempered bad guy, a biscuit with an attitude over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and a over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got an irresistable mix of adventure, laughter and romance, guarunteed to delight audiences of all ages!

Shrek The Musical brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage. And We're proud to present it's regional premiere right here at the home of our famous Dreams'n'Wishes pantomimes, The Venue MK.
